Home Based Business: Business versus a Job
A Home Based Business on the Internet or a regular nine to five job is a choice to be made in these tough economic times. Choosing a career path can be challenging. Half of all college students change their majors at least once as they travel the sometimes bumpy road that will lead to the degree. If you want to follow your dreams as well as provide for a certain future, (whether for a job or business venture) take heart. As long as human beings continue to inhabit the planet, there are many worthwhile and fulfilling jobs that will never go away. However, you have a choice as to whether or not you want to work for someone else (A Job) and make them rich or work for yourself in your Home Based Business.
Here are some jobs and services that will never go away:
Accountants.
I understand that two things are certain; death and taxes. Therefore, as long as there are taxes, there will be a need for skilled accountants to work with clients, helping them keep their books in order. While accounting technology becomes more sophisticated, many accountants also assist clients with the technological aspects of record keeping and tax preparation. An online degree can prepare you for this field by providing accounting coursework and career training. Many assistant accountants begin with training and an associate’s degree. Armed with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, you could make an average annual salary of $63,180, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).
On the other hand, you could use your training and experience to be independent by starting a home based business on the Internet and your annual salary would be unlimited. You are working to make yourself rich, not someone else, or better said, you are seeking financial freedom. The same work you do for a company with a job, you can do the same with your home based business on the Internet.
Computer Support Specialist.
If you find yourself helping your friends and family solve their computer problems, consider becoming a computer support specialist. With computers playing such an important part of daily life, computer support specialists provide their clients much needed technical assistance. As a computer support specialist, you will meet with clients in person or answer questions remotely, via Internet, or on the phone. Many computer support specialists either have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or an associate’s degree in a computer-related program. In 2007, computer support specialists made an average annual salary of $45,300, according to the BLS.
Entrepreneur.
To be an entrepreneur you need to be an independent, outgoing risk taker as you establish your own business or company. Although it may be hard to know whether a business will succeed, there will always be a need for a variety of goods and services and businesses to supply them. An online degree in business can help make your dreams a reality, as you earn your associate’s or bachelor’s degree. Although salaries can vary greatly with the self-employed, small business owners made an average annual wage of $36,000 to $75,095 in 2008, according to Pay Scale.
Guess what! With a home based business on the Internet your salary would be unlimited. It all depends on you and how much time and effort you put into the business. Of course, since it is your business and you are not making someone else rich, you will work long hours, stay focused and be self-disciplined if you want to succeed with your goal of financial freedom.
Finally, I want to distinguish between a ?job? and a home based business on the Internet.
A home based business on the Internet your best option in these tough economic times. If you have lost your job or feel you will be the next to be laid off, then a home based business is for you.
Think about this:
Do you have a job? What’s wrong with a job? Can you generate income without a job?
Do you realize that with a job, you are just another hired hand and have no control over your financial future? Let’s face it, you will never become financially independent as long as you depend on a job.
What?s wrong with a job? Well, the main problem with a typical job is that when you stop working, the income stops. You will never be rich, wealthy or financially secure by trading hours worked for money. That?s what you?re doing when you work a regular nine to five job. If you ever want to acquire real wealth, you have to do what the wealthy do. They know you have to tap into residual income and leverage income using your home based business or simply working for yourself and not others.
Clearly, the best choice for financial freedom is a home based business on the Internet…read more.
