Home Based Business
Are you serious about wanting to start a home based business? Are you prepared? Well, like anything else important, you have to make plans, research and collect information about the subject. Don?t go into anything blind, without a clue as to what you are doing or why. So let?s look at what we should do before embarking on a venture, especially a home based business on the Internet.
First, let?s start with the basics:
1. Make a list of everything in your life you get excited about and it should include all the things that you have a passion for and I mean everything. Here is something for you to think about; have you ever had a job that you were not excited about? Most of us have been there and done that. Imagine starting a business that you can?t be excited about. I will be perfectly honest with you about this issue. You will be working long and hard hours if you are serious about a business. Make sure those hours are not in vain. By creating a business around one or more of your passions, what you love to do and look forward to doing it everyday, you ensure greater success.
2. Take the above mentioned list and look at each individual item and ponder about how you might turn that passion into a money making opportunity.
Don’t worry about how realistic these opportunities may seem for now. The point is that you are training your mind to find opportunity where you find the most enjoyment.
3. Don’t be afraid to ask a ‘higher power? (that unseen spiritual power) to guide you.
We have a tendency to ask everyone around us for their opinion or help. How often do we ask our ‘higher power/universal power? for that guidance? Try it and you will be surprised at the positive results. Believe in yourself, because you do have the power within, but probably don?t know it.
4. Listen! Observe!
Be in tune with the thoughts that come into your mind. Those fleeting thoughts very often is the ‘higher power? giving you your inspiration and answers. This also gives you the opportunity to think and contemplate your goal or plan.
5. Do ‘due diligence’ on the opportunities you discover before you fully commit?
This means you have checked out everything, everyone, every product. You know the direction you want to head, the commitment that is required and the money that you will need.
6. Determine how much you hope to make or how big you want to get.
Do you want to break even or are you hoping to be the next Bill Gates. If so, then you know you have your work cut out for you. It can be done, but you have to make it happen with your home based business.
7. Create a Business Plan.
Even if you have no need for a loan, or you are starting with a MLM, you can never go wrong with a Business Plan. A Business Plan will force you to write down your purpose, your mission statement, your goals and the method in which you hope to obtain your goals. This is a very important part of starting a home based business. It will keep you on the right track.
8. Read your Business Plan at least once a week. This will refresh your memory and put in the front of your mind your desires, goals, hopes and dreams. We all need this reminder for what and why we are doing something. It will keep you focused.
9. Don’t be surprised if your goals and dreams change while you go through this process.
That’s to be expected. That is also to be hoped for. That means you are growing and learning and hopefully increasing your goals.
10. Do not listen to those who would be skeptical of you.
Yes, you need to have one foot in reality, but remember your reality is not everyone else’s reality. There will be many who will be dream stompers. You may have to tell them to stay away, at least for the time being. I mean family, friends and associates who tend to be negative about what you are doing. They seem to feel they know what?s best for you. Keep your eye on the prize and make your dream of a home based business on the Internet come true.
Now you have covered all the bases and you can safely and confidently get busy on building your home based business and start on the road to financial freedom. Be persistent and don?t even think about quitting or let doubt creep into your thoughts. Bottom line is you are ?master of your destiny and captain of your fate.? Eliminate all negative thoughts and negative thinking friends and associates who may try to tell you that you?re crazy for doing what you are doing. Keep your eye on the prize and you will succeed.
